What We Believe
The Holy Scriptures
We believe the bible is the inspired, inerrant, infallible, irrevocable and complete Word of God. (2 Timothy 3:16-17)
The Triune God
There is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. These three are co-equal and co-eternal (1 John 5:7, Genesis 1:26, Matthew 3:16-17, Matthew 28:19, Luke 1:35).
The Deity of
The Lord Jesus Christ
The Lord Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God. The Scriptures declare: His virgin birth (Matthew 1:23, Luke 1:31,Luke 1:35), His sinless life (Hebrews 7:26, 1 Peter 2:22), His miracles (Acts 2:22, Acts 10:38), His substitutionary work on the cross (1 Corinthians 15:3, 2 Corinthians 5:21), His bodily resurrection from the dead (Matthew 28:6, Luke 24:39, 1 Corinthians 15:4), His exaltation to the right hand of God (Acts 1:9, Acts 1:11, Acts 2:33, Philippians 2:9-11, Hebrews 1:3).
Fall of Man
Man was created good and upright, but by voluntary transgression he fell; his only hope of redemption is in Jesus Christ, the Son of God (Genesis 1:26-31, Genesis 3:1-24, Romans 5:12-21).
Salvation of Man
Salvation is received through repentance toward God and faith toward the Lord Jesus Christ. Salvation is a gift from God, not a result of our good works or of any human efforts. We believe that the change which takes place in the heart and life at conversion is a literal one and is the result of being born of the Spirit of God (Ephesians 2:8-9; Galatians 2:16, Galatians 3:8, Titus 3:5, Romans 10:9-10, Acts 16:31, Hebrews 9:22, 2 Corinthians 5:17, Galatians 2:20, John 3:5-7).
Sanctification
Sanctification is the ongoing process of yielding to God's Word and His Spirit in order to complete the development of Christ's character in us. It is through the present ministry of the Holy Spirit and the Word of God that the Christian is enabled to live a godly life (1 Thessalonians 4:3-8, 1 Thessalonians 5:23-24, 2 Corinthians 3:18, 2 Corinthians 6:14-18, Romans 12:1-2, Hebrews 2:11).
Baptism in The Holy Spirit
Given at Pentecost, it is the promise of the Father, sent by Jesus after His Ascension. We believe that the baptism of the Holy Spirit is to endue the believer with power, and that His empowering is after the same manner as in biblical days (Acts 1:8, Acts 2:4).
The Gifts & The Fruit of
The Holy Spirit
We believe that the Holy Spirit has gifts to bestow upon the christian and that we should show spiritual fruit as evidence of a Spirit-filled life (1 Corinthians 12:1-31, Galatians 5:22-23).
The Church
The church is the Body of Christ, the habitation of God through the Spirit, with divine appointments for the fulfillment of Jesus' great commission. Every person who is born of the Spirit is an integral part of the church as a member of the body of believers. There is a spiritual unity of all believers in our Lord Jesus Christ (Ephesians 1:22-23, Ephesians 2:19-22).
Divine Healing
Healing of the sick is illustrated in the life and ministry of Jesus, and included in the commission of Jesus to His disciples. It is given as a sign which is to follow believers. It is also a part of Jesus' work on the Cross and one of the gifts of the Spirit (Psalm 103:2-3, Isaiah 53:5, Matthew 8:16-17, Mark 16:17-18, Acts 8:6-7, James 5:14-16, 1 Corinthians 12:9;28, Romans 11:29).
Evangelism
We believe that soul-winning is the great commission given to the church (James 5:20, Mark 16:15, 2 Corinthians 5:18-21).
Heaven
Heaven is the eternal dwelling place for all believers in the Gospel of Jesus Christ (Matthew 5:3;12;20, Matthew 6:20, Matthew 19:21, Matthew 25:34, 2 Corinthians 5:1-8, Hebrews 11:16, 1 Peter 1:4).
Hell
After living one life on earth, the unbelievers will be judged by God and sent to Hell where they will be eternally tormented with the Devil and the Fallen Angels (Matthew 25:41, Mark 9:43-48, Hebrews 9:27, Revelation 14:9-11, Revelation 20:12-15, Revelation 21:8).
The Blessed Hope
The resurrection of those who have fallen asleep in Christ and their translation together with those who are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord is the imminent and blessed hope of the church (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17, Romans 8:23, Titus 2:13, 1 Corinthians 15:51-52).
Second Coming
Jesus Christ will physically and visibly return to earth, with His saints, for the second time to establish His Kingdom. This will occur at a date undisclosed by the Scriptures. (Zechariah 14:5, Revelation 1:7, Revelation 19:11-14, Revelation 20:1-6)
Marriage
Marriage is the first institution created by God. He declared that "a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and they shall become one flesh". (Genesis 2:23) This shows that God's design for marriage is between one man and one woman. This divine design is confirmed throughout the holy scriptures. (Matthew 19:5-6, Mark 10:6-9, Ephesians 5:31) Marriage is a covenant made between a man and a woman before God and this is the only marriage approved and acceptable to God and the church (Genesis 2:23).
Water Baptism
We believe that baptism by immersion, in water, is an outward sign of the inward work of salvation (Matthew 28:18-20, Mark 16:16, Acts 8:12;36-38, Acts 10:47-48).
The Lord's Supper
A unique time of communion in the presence of God when the elements of bread and grape juice (the Body and Blood of the Lord Jesus Christ) are taken in remembrance of Jesus' sacrifice on the Cross (Matthew 26:26-29, 1 Corinthians 10:16, 1 Corinthians 11:23-26).
